Electronic Archiving and Digital Preservation Policy

Indonesian Financial Review (IFR)

1. Policy Statement

Indonesian Financial Review (IFR) is committed to maintaining the long-term accessibility, integrity, and availability of its published scholarly content. The journal recognizes electronic archiving and digital preservation as essential components of responsible scholarly publishing and the continuity of the academic record.

IFR uses the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform to manage and publish its electronic content. The journal supports digital preservation through the preservation mechanisms configured within its publishing platform.

2. PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)

IFR has enabled the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) plugin in its OJS platform to support the digital preservation of published journal content.

The journal's OJS preservation records include deposits for published issues. Deposit and processing statuses may vary between issues, and the editorial team reviews these records to monitor the preservation workflow and identify issues requiring further attention.

The activation of the PKP PN plugin indicates that the preservation functionality is enabled in OJS; the status of individual deposits remains subject to the records displayed by the system.

3. LOCKSS and CLOCKSS

IFR's OJS platform provides LOCKSS/CLOCKSS-related archival endpoints for published content. The journal's archival records indicate that certain issues have been transferred and sent to LOCKSS for processing. The journal's CLOCKSS endpoint also displays a statement that the CLOCKSS system has permission to ingest, preserve, and serve the relevant archival unit.

These records demonstrate the availability of preservation-related configurations and endpoints. They do not, by themselves, establish that every published issue has been successfully preserved or that all external preservation processes have been completed.

IFR will describe the status of its preservation arrangements accurately and will review the relevant system records when assessing the preservation status of its published content.

4. Digital Content Integrity and Accessibility

IFR aims to maintain accurate and accessible electronic records of its published articles, issue information, and associated metadata. The journal encourages appropriate backup, access-control, and recovery practices for its publishing infrastructure to reduce the risk of content loss or disruption.

Where corrections, retractions, or other post-publication changes are necessary, IFR will handle them in accordance with its publication ethics policies and maintain appropriate records of changes to the scholarly record.

5. Monitoring and Review

The editorial team and journal administrator are responsible for monitoring the availability of published content and reviewing the preservation-related functions configured in OJS. This includes reviewing deposit records, investigating issues with unknown or incomplete processing statuses, and confirming the status of relevant preservation services where necessary.

This policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure that the journal's digital preservation practices remain appropriate to its publishing infrastructure and the services available to the journal.

6. Commitment to Long-Term Preservation

IFR is committed to improving its digital preservation practices and supporting the continued accessibility of its scholarly publications. The journal will update this policy when its preservation arrangements, technical configuration, or participation in external preservation services materially changes.

Policy applies to the electronic scholarly content published by Indonesian Financial Review (IFR).
